Psychotherapist
Get to know Jess
Hello, my name is Jess, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I believe that safety in mind, body, spirit, relationship, and community are birthrights.
I have over a decade of experience helping individuals work towards wellness goals, as they navigate and recover from various forms and manifestations of persisting stress/ trauma. With a generalist’s approach, I often start the therapeutic process by fostering relationship, awareness, curiosity, choice, and intent.
By building a strong rapport and establishing safety, I co-facilitate your self-exploration through a nonjudgmental lens, examining thought, feeling, and behavior patterns. As awareness is developed, I help clients harness their personal strengths, interests, and resources to process trauma/stress and re-engage with the world.
Together, we may explore a range of topics, such as emotions, beliefs, thoughts, sensations, behavior, spirituality, movement, mindfulness, relationships, nature, and community. These can serve as valuable sources of feedback for self-discovery, healing, and connection.
I reference various modalities throughout the therapeutic process, including traditional talk therapy, psycho-education, internal family systems, somatic experiencing, and polyvagal theory, all while maintaining a touch of humor.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you find the support that is right for you.

Get to know Amy
Welcome, I’m Amy.
I’m passionate about empowering others to realize their strengths and meet their goals in creative ways. I bring over 10 years of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities, and have experience working alongside individuals diagnosed with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, and physical ailments (fibromyalgia and chronic pain). I want to help you develop skills to lead a confident, content life and support you to explore healthy lifestyle changes that work for you. I believe that everyone’s journey is unique and would be honored to accompany you on a path to achieve your goals.
I find great joy in empowering others to recognize their own strengths, capabilities, and to heal. My partnership with you will be built on the foundational beliefs that everyone should be treated with respect, unconditional positive regard, and compassion. I specialize in a holistic approach to wellness that stresses the importance of the mind-body connection. My goal is to help connect you with your own wisdom and strengths, working collaboratively towards healing and cultivating a feeling of wholeness.
Everyone’s life experience is unique, and my approach is person centered and focused on what will empower you as an individual. That means we will work together to move you toward your goals through a combination of hands-on engagement in goal-oriented activities, somatic experiences, and verbal discussion. I appreciate the broad spectrum of ways humans communicate with and relate to one another. I will welcome you where you are. My past partnerships have described my presence as warm, calming, encouraging, and accepting. Together we will identify your strengths and cultivate them to meet your struggles.
Lastly, a bit about my own life. In my free time, you’ll find me enjoying a stroll through nature with my husband and 100-pound dog, enjoying a yoga class, trying not to capsize my paddleboard on the lake, and attending as many live events (music, dance, theater, sports) and festivals as possible.
I look forward to working together! Until then, I invite you to treat yourself with kindness, trust that you possess what you need to achieve your goals, and to remember that every moment is an opportunity to begin again.
